I come from a background where many struggled and where opportunity for young people was a rarity.  I thought that as we evolved, this would change.  I lived through the Thatcher years and believed we would never choose that path again, and yet here we are with worker rights eroded, NHS privatisation by the back door, spiralling rents, people relying on totally inadequate welfare and lack of opportunity for young people.

I want to work with our party to change this, starting at a local level.  We need more councillors, we need a bigger voice and the opportunity to bring improvements into the lives of the people of our communities.   To do this, we need our members to come forward with ideas, feedback and help.  We have local elections next year.  Let’s get more councillors elected to show what a difference we can make.  Please help us make that happen.
