I decided to join the Labour Party in summer 2020, as I was becoming increasingly disheartened with the current government and the situation we are in as a country.

For me, the Labour Party represents a vehicle for change, and a voice for those who want to see a fairer society.

As Women’s Officer I would like to empower women to speak out and engage on issues that matter to them. It is saddening that politics remains dominated by male voices – this needs to change. Politics impacts every aspect of our lives, so diversity and representation are essential at every level.
