I joined the Labour Party in 2015 and wanted to play a part in trying to increase the influence the Labour Party had in our constituency across council and hopefully, one day, at national level.

When I attended my first CLP meeting, I was unaware of how I could contribute and how the local party worked.  As VC Membership, I would like to make our CLP inclusive and welcoming so that more members want to share their skills and knowledge and help build a diverse and thriving CLP membership to help our local communities, have more councillors elected and ultimately, a Labour MP who will be part of a much-needed Labour Government.
