Cllr Dr Nik Johnson
I have been a children’s doctor, currently at Hinchingbrooke hospital, for 30 years. I first became more involved in politics in 2010 when I recognised that there would be a huge change in the way public services, including the NHS, would be run under the Conservative/Lib Dem coalition Government.
I am a District Councillor for St. Neots East and have twice stood as the Huntingdon constituency’s Labour candidate in the 2015 and 2017 General Elections and have been selected as Labour’s candidate as Mayor for the combined authority of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. In both roles, I want to bring closer collaboration among local stakeholders to improve life outcomes, particularly for those living in highly deprived areas.
