We were delighted to be joined by Elisa Meschini who is not only leader of the Labour Group at Cambridgeshire County Council, but also deputy leader of the County Council. Elisa spoke with refreshing optimism and frankness about what is now planned for Cambridgeshire and how it is possible with the new coalition.

Elisa did hint at a few of the genuinely pleasing changes that will be introduced in the next few months that will have a positive impact for everyone across the county. We are unable to say exactly what these are, but when they are formally announced we will make sure that we pass on the good news.

There were also a raft of useful tips and advice on what campaigning was successful across the county, and what wasn’t.

Huntingdon CLP are very grateful to Elisa who gave this talk- and fielded our questions- all in her spare time which is itself very limited. Not only does she hold these roles but also has a day job!

This talk was part of our monthly CLP meeting and as such we are not allowed by Labour party rules from recording it and making it available online. Upcoming speakers will be announced with plenty of notice, via emails from our Secretary, so please do look out for his emails.
