Helen Stroud – Labour candidate
I am interested in you; in your aspirations, your concerns, your issues, your views and values. Helen Stroud, Labour Candidate for st Neots East, 8 July 2021
If elected, I will listen to you; amplify your voice to ensure it is heard by the designated council officer and I will always feedback the response.
How will you know I can do this? I have spent my entire professional life as a Specialist Teacher doing exactly that.
For many years, I have advocated successfully for young adults and their families in meetings with the local authority. This means I will speak out and advocate for you on things you say matter to you
Working in partnership with the NHS, Social Services, the Police and Youth Offending Teams means that I value collaborative work and will actively seek to work with volunteers and professionals on everything from housing, roads and refuse collection to the safety, environmental and economic issues which affect us all
Having made a deliberate choice to always work within Equality of Opportunities settings, you can be sure I will work determinedly towards resolving issues arising from age, gender, ethnicity, identity, physical or mental health, disability or employment, education and training opportunities
Currently, I am an active member of our community, volunteering as a Group Leader for St Neots U3A. and I would love the opportunity to contribute further by ensuring St Neots East continues to develop and thrive, as Dr. Nik Johnson says, with compassion and co-operation in our community
