County Elections 2025
Labour’s candidates for the Cambridgeshire County Council elections on 1st May from the Huntingdon constituency are:
Huntingdon North and Hartford – Luke Viner – website
Huntingdon resident, active local campaigner and community champion. Former parish councillor and current member of a local wind orchestra. Professional experience working in the tech and security sector.
St Ives South and Needingworth – Alex Bulat – website
Huntingdonshire resident, Labour’s lead on libraries, support for families and new residents, adult education and community grants at the County Council, and the first British-Romanian County Councillor in the country.
Alconbury and Kimbolton – Harry Denman
Lifelong Huntingdon resident, politics student at Anglian Ruskin University and community worker in the healthcare sector. Passionate about accessible transport across the county to help residents’ opportunities in both work and social lives. Running in the County Council elections as one of the youngest candidates across the country.
Brampton – Stuart Holder
Has lived in Offord Darcy for 15 years. Professional economist, most recently with the Civil Aviation Authority, now combining freelance work with other interests. Volunteer driver with the Huntingdonshire Volunteer Centre, keen musician and long-term member of the Huntingdonshire Philharmonic.
Godmanchester and Huntingdon South – Bill Hennessy
Godmanchester resident for more than 40 years. Retired Chartered Psychologist. Active locally over many years, including as Governor at St Peters, in local schools PTAs and fundraising. Godmanchester Sports Association and community volunteer. Twenty years as Fellow and Visting Professor at three major International Business Schools. Professional experience as Senior Manger at Whitbread, at the BBC and at professional services company, EY.
Sawtry and Stilton – Joy Isaacs
Committed to fostering social cohesion, sustainability, better travel and personal safety. Joy has established a women’s hub in Sawtry to strengthen community engagement and well-being. As a change professional, she has a proven track record of delivering strategic initiatives and is dedicated to driving positive change in Sawtry & Stilton.
Somersham – Dan Mayhew
A scientist who has spearheaded efforts to improve recycling, waste reduction, environment and healthcare outcomes through product development and strategy. Passionate Labour member for the over 10 years.
St. Ives N and Wyton – Sajjad Khan
Currently a member of St Ives Town Council, South Ward and former Magistrate on the Cambridgeshire Judicial Bench. A passionate advocate for social and economic justice, he also stands for infrastructure and transportation improvements, affordable housing and protecting green spaces.
